🗣️ In a year of relentless anti-LGBTQIA+ legislation, let's stand firm against wage inequality, discrimination, and poverty that contribute to the #WageGap for #LGBTQ workers. Today, on #LGBTQIAEqualPay Awareness Day, we're calling on Congress to pass the BE HEARD in the Workplace Act, which would strengthen federal anti-discrimination law for all & make clear once and for all: discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity is illegal. No more loopholes or rollbacks. Every worker deserves protection. Email Congress at the link below to show your support. #PrideInYourPay #LGBTQIAequalpay #BeHEARD
Take action and email Congress! equalrights.quorum.us

The BE HEARD in the Workplace Act would strengthen federal protections against workplace harassment and discrimination, and would make it clear that discrimination based on sexual orientation and/or gender identity is against the law. BE HEARD will help LGBTQIA+ workers access equal opportunity and fair pay. That’s especially important now, when the EEOC’s enforcement and protection of ALL workers has been weakened and weaponized. #LGBTQIAEqualPay #PrideInYourPay #BeHEARD

The fight for pay equity is everyone’s fight. With rising costs and an administration determined to destroy workplace protections, the affordability crisis is hitting everyone, especially LGBTQIA+ households. We must protect workers’ rights and improve wages. #LGBTQIAEqualPayDay #PrideInYourPay

Lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ+) workers continue to face significant pay inequities driven by discrimination. Pay equity is a right, not a privilege. The lack of pay data on sexual orientation and gender identity makes it harder to identify and address pay gaps. Now, a federal agency wants to stop collecting basic data. We can’t fix what we can’t see. On this LGBTQIA+ Equal Pay Awareness Day, we urge you to stand up for workplace equity by joining AAUW’s Action Network. #PrideInYourPay #LGBTQEqualPay

LGBTQ+ Equal Pay Day is a reminder that the wage gap doesn't happen by accident. Discrimination in hiring, promotions, and the workplace continues to undermine the economic security of LGBTQ+ people. Today, 43.4% of LGBTQ+ adults report being worse off financially than they were a year ago, compared to 30.7% of non-LGBTQ+ adults. Equal pay means little if people can't access jobs, advance in their careers, or work free from discrimination. We need workplaces where everyone has a fair chance not just to survive, but to thrive. #LGBTQEqualPayDay #EqualPay #WorkplaceEquality #PrideInYourPay

LGBTQ+ Equal Pay Awareness Day allows Native Americans time to reflect on the value of their labor - it built this land! Equal pay for Indigenous LGBTQ+ workers is not just a request. It is a long overdue justice. #PrideInYourPay #LGBTQEqualPay

We can’t say it enough: SOGI data is important for understanding economic disparities for the LGBTQ+ community. This data gives us helpful insights compared with other individuals, and for economic disparities within the community. #LGBTQEqualPay #PrideInYourPay
